真正的蓝天, the real blue sky

我在槟城的家，黄昏时都会有小孩出来玩，满热闹。我记得每次的天空都很美，静静的，很想跟人分享。以前, 从前。。。有这个缘分，现在没有那种缘分了。
去到国名服务, NS, 天空显示得更佳的灿烂，因为是以快乐，满足的心情看天空, 它的色彩多么的感人。

这里, 吉隆波的天空看起来也是一样，只是少了小孩子在路边玩耍的叫喊声，也好像少了一些感动。但我还是我，只是不是以前的我，也不是一分钟前的我。所以，做人要懂得拿得起，放得下。

就像天空，变化无穷，但还是可以那么漂亮。

Back home in Penang, kids come out to play every evening. Its quite merry. I remember that every day the sky would be so beautiful. I wished to be able to silently share the beauty with someone. I used to, long ago, have this chance, but not anymore.
I later attended National Service, and the skies I saw there were even much more breathtaking, because I looked at them with a happy and contented heart, the colors touched my soul.

Here, the skies of Selangor look the same, just without the happy cries of children playing on the roads, it seems a little less touching. But I'm still me, just not the me I was long ago, and not the me I was a minute ago. So in life, we should learn to let go of things, not just holding on to everything because we think we can.

Just like the sky, always changing, but still as beautiful as ever.

some days of life

Suppose I was asked about the most beautiful sky I've ever seen. Among all the skies I've seen, some were clear, some were dark, some were vividly blue and some were close to plain white. How blue the sky is depends on the weather, place, and time of day... and they were all beautiful. Among all the skies I've seen, there's no such thing as a truly beautiful sky. That's what I think.

Suppose there was a story about a boy who thinks nobody understands him. While reading it, many come to believe they are that boy. You may be one such reader.

Suppose the only true words in the world are "there is no such thing"... there is no real blue sky, there is no boy, there is no you... it is an illusion we created and believe in. There are no bad people, there are no good people, there are no right and wrong people...there are only stories and reasons and illusions that tell you what is good, what is bad, what is wrong and right and left... what is you, what is not you...
Imagine you saw the world not in terms of good and evil, but the world that is non-judging and non-measuring, that everyone is an incomplete summary of their lives... and so are you, a summary which you have come to believe in at this very moment...then you would see that every moment of unhappiness comes not from someone else's doing, but your own rationale to it. You might have thought that you have every reason to be angry or upset, but all those reasons are only reasons generated from the story of your self that you believe in.

I do not intend to point this post at anybody, its just been something i have wanted to say for a long time, many times, when seeing or hearing people telling me about problems. Whether you choose to believe this essay or not is up to your consideration, but i think it is obvious enough that all the reasons we think we cannot be happy with life will evaporate the moment we are at the edge of losing all that which matters to us most.

Back from FRIM - Forest Reserve Institute Malaysia .. went as an assistant in the organizing team of Sony Nature Photography camp. It was a 3 days and 2 nights camp, with handpicked students coming from high schools across Msia who submitted photo project entries to Sony.

Had alot of fun there, nice break from routine student life.. got to know a bunch of nice people..took some photographs using my friend's camera.. thanks Albert! for introducing me there in the first place.


Its currently the 7th or 8th week of class (of 14), some group work have started, like History and Language & Communication Skills final assignments. i might be leader for history again...the 4 students who scored highest in the previous test and project gets to form their own team, but we don't necessarily have to be leader ourselves. Anyway, it is a good opportunity to do something interesting.


Our batch of students are going to choose majors by the 10th of November. i've decided on Multimedia Design, mainly because of my interest in computers, (so far) efficiency in learning software, and because the subjects look like a good starting point for me to enter the industry... and also because im not so proficient in handicraft la.. . haha.......(more like lazy..)
As i understand, the Multimedia course is like a middle road of Advertising and Animation..it is heavier on skills than theory and concepts like Advertising, but not as technically demanding as Animation. The course cover areas like website design, basic game design (dont know much about that yet), videography, 2D animation (like flash applications), coding from Flash, HTML, CSS and others..
On the interaction side, i guess multimedia focuses more on simple interaction that keeps you interested in whatever we design to catch your attention. Advertising may lack that level of interaction, at the same time it is usually not a project as big as the Animation course stuff.

Leaving this course, i may end up as a graphic designer, a flash animator, involved in constructing websites, or maybe enter the broadcasting industry, doing animations or videos for tv channels (like 8tv type of animations) ...
So basically that's what im gonna get myself into over the next 2 years lah.
